Wimbledon Condominiums Overview

Wimbledon Condominiums is one of the better off-campus student housing options in Boulder. There are one and two bedroom units with large closets and fairly open floor plans. Each phase being built separately, have slight differences in floor plans and amenities. Each unit is individually owned and therefore the level of updates is unit specific. The common space is beautifully maintained though the HOA. The grounds offer two tennis courts, three swimming pools, numerous community grills and plenty of grass. 

Main Pros and Cons

The positive about Wimbledon is proximity to campus. If attending the Leeds School of Business or the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the journey to class is very minimal. It is also a short bike ride from Twenty Ninth Street Mall that offers numerous shopping and eating destinations. Wimbledon’s biggest negative is the nearly non-existent nearby social scene like bars where college students spend their afternoons.

Location

The Wimbledon Condominiums complex is located about 5 blocks east of the University of Colorado’s main campus and nearly directly across Colorado Avenue from the East Campus. Click here to view the Walk Score

Amenities

Wimbledon's HOA Fees 

$315 to $368 a month.

Includes: Trash, Snow Removal, Lawn Care, Security, Management, Common Utilities, Exterior Maintenance, Water/Sewer and Hazard Insurance.

Laundry

There are four laundry rooms throughout the complex. The machines are coin operated and a little dated. Some owners have opted to install in-unit stackable laundry machines in the closet off of the dining room, which has worked out great.

Wimbledon's Pet Policy

Wimbledon has a rather unique pet policy and is not standard throughout the complex. Two of the phases do not allow dogs (and the HOA is very strict concerning this rule). The furthest east phase does allow dogs due to distance to green space.

Cats Allowed.

Buildings S-X allow one dog if the owner is living there.

Parking

Grade: B+

In general, parking is easy and convenient when compared to other neighborhoods such as the hill. Each unit is given a dedicated spot. The two bedroom units also get an additional parking permit for first come first serve spaces. There are only five guest parking spots and they tend to fill up quickly. The alternative for guests is parking in the neighborhood directly south of Wimbledon where there is off-street parking.

Public Transportation       

The Wimbledon Condominiums is conveniently located near multiple bus stops. The combination of RTD buses and the Buff Bus makes getting to class extremely simple and easy. There is usually a route leaving every several minutes. For additional information on the RTD bus schedule, visit
